जाने भी दो संध्या को

संध्या खिली है ,

मानो 

ढलते सुरजने 

जाते जाते 

धरती को चूम लिया ;

दूर गगन से उठते 

पंखीओ के चीत्कार 

मेरे ह्रदय की गहराईओं में 

गूंजते है ;

तन्हाइओ से घिरा हूँ मैं ,

मुझे शब्दों की क्या ज़रुरत ?

जिन्हे सुनना है कुछ 

मेरे नीरव मौन को सून लो ;

ना ही मुझे 

प्रकाश कीआश ,

जाने भी दो संध्या को ,

निबिड़ निशा के अंधेरो में ही 

ले लूंगा ,

बचे जो है बाकी सांस

અંધકાર છો રહ્યો

સંધ્યા ખીલી ઉઠી છે

જાણે

આભ માં

રંગોની છોળો

ઉડી રહી છે  ;

એકલવાયા પંખીઓ નાં ચિત્કાર

હૈયા ના

અતલ ઉંડાણ માં

ગૂંજી રહે છે  ;

નિ : રવતા ઘેરી રહી છે ;

ભલે  !

શબ્દ ની કંઈ જરૂર નથી ,

'ને

પ્રકાશ ની પણ શું જરૂર છે  ?

सुंदरी की ;

तो कभी लेकर भोजपत्र 

घुल कर  

रुदन और आंसू  के

बना लेते वही सुंदरी की 

एक सरल तस्वीर ;

अब सूखने लगे है 

मेरे अश्क ,

रही है  ख्वाबो की याद ,

જીવન ને મૃત્યુ વચ્ચે ઝૂલતા  ,

રમકડાં ,

કદી હસતા ,  કદી રોતા

અને ગાતા કદી

ગંભીર સૂરે

ઝણ ઝણાવી તંતુ એ તંતુ ને ,

વીણા ના ઉર તણી ;

મનોમન ઘાટ ઘડતાં ,

અને કંડારતા

શ્વેત પાષાણ માં ,

સરેલી સ્વપ્ન ભૂમિ થકી

સુંદરી ને ;

તો કો ' વળી

ખેંચતા લકીરો ભોજપત્રે

મિલાવી રૂદન ઘેરાં રંગમાં

અશ્રુ બિંદુ ;

પરંતુ સૂકાયા અશ્રૂ કો'ના ,

સ્મૃતિ રહી ગઈ સ્વપ્ન ની

જીવન સંધ્યા સમે ઘેરતા તિમિર ને

વીંધતી .

નથી આશા ,

ચોતરફ

છાઈ રહી છે

નિરાશા  ;

પ્રેમ ના મંદિરે આજ

ઉતરી રહી છે

ઘોર નિરાશા ,

હતાં સ્વપ્નો

મુહાબ્બત તણી  કહાની

નથી કો સર્જવાના

मधु-मिलन की इस रात को

 

धरती मेरे सपनो की 

बुला रही है मुझे ,

 

" छोड़ इस जीवन को ,

  पिंजरे के 

  तोड़ इस बंधन को ,

 

  क्या भूल गया ,

 

  मिलाके नज़रों से मेरी 

  नज़रे तेरी ,

  किये थे जो वादे, आधी रात ?

 

  देकर गवाह सितारों की 

  कहा था ,

 

  प्रिये ,

 

  आ रहा हूँ 

  मधु-मिलन की इस रात को 

  बनाने हमारी सोहाग रात ,
