मानता हूँ 

आनेवाली कल 

है धोखेबाज ;

चुराके रंग आज से 

रंगती है चुनरी नवरंग ,

फिर ओढ़ के आती है 

सपनो के संग ;

उठाके  सुरों 

आज के साज से ,

गुनगुनाती है ;

क्या देखोगे कल का रूप  ?

पहन कर जवानी का नकाब 

छुपाके चहेरा ,

पर्दानशीन जो आती है 

वो " कल " नहीं 

" आज " ही है  !

दिखाती है जो सपने 

वो " कल " नहीं 

फरेब है  !
