कितने कदम बाकी है ?

अब पैर लड़खड़ाते है 

चल न पाते है ;

पर अब भी कुछ चलना बाकी है 

तुम तक पहुँचने लगेंगे 

आज से लेकर चौबीस दिन 

फिर और चौबीस दिन ,

कितने कदम हो मुज़से आगे ?

सहारा दिया जिन सबने 

उन्हें छोड़ कर 

तुम तक पहुँचने 

कितने कदम बाकी है  ?

खुद को पूछते 

आज भी डरता हूँ ,

कितनी दफा कहा तुम्हे ,

" मैं तुजसे प्यार करता हूँ  " 

डर इस बात से है 

कुछ कम तो नहीं कहा  ?

आज भी 

सपनो में तो कहता हूँ 

पर डर इस बात से है ,

क्या ख्वाबो में सून पाती हो  ?

Now the legs are wobbly ,

unable to walk ;

but there is still some walking to be done ,

how many steps are ahead of me ?

How many steps are left for all those

who supported them to reach you ?

I am still afraid to ask myself ,

how many times have I told you ,

" I love you . " Even today ,

I say it in my dreams ,

but the fear is from this thing ,

do you feel sleepy in your dreams ?
