किया तुजे बिदा तो क्या ?

सून कर आज 

तेरी आवाज़ ,

फिर आशा आयी 

और बोली ,

" तू है चिर पुरुष 

  प्रकृति चिर यौवना ,

  कर ले 

  कठ - पुतलि से प्यार  ;

   किसे खबर कब 

   उठेगी अणु से आग ,

   जल जाएगी पेड़ की शाख 

   भभूकेगा संहार दावानल का  ;

   जब बन जाएगी राख 

   किसीके मांग का सिन्दूर ,

    किस की तक़दीर को 

    कौन रोयेगा ?

    बिठा के पालखी में 

    किया उन्हें बिदा 

    तो क्या  ?

    प्रिया तो तेरी ज है 

    प्राण से ज्यादा प्यारी है ,

    देर मत कर 

    एक आखरी बार  करले,

    गुड़िया से प्यार "

પાલખી માં વળાવી તેથી શું ?

તારો અવાજ સાંભળી આજે

ફરી આશા આવી ,

કહે ,

" તું ચિર - પુરુષ

  પ્રકૃતિ ચિર - યૌવના ,

  કરી લે પ્યાર

  કઠ - પુતલી થી  -

  કોને ખબર , ક્યારે

  અણુ માં આગ ઉઠશે ,

  ભડકશે દાવાનળ સંહાર નો ,

  સિતમ માં સાગ બળશે  -

  સેંથે કો'ક નું સિંદૂર

  ખરી જઈ ,

  રાખ ભળશે ,

  ત્યારે કોણ કોને રડશે  ?

  પાલખી માં વળાવી તેથી શું ?

  પ્રિયા તારી છે

  પ્રાણ થી પ્યારી છે ,

  ઢીંગલી ને ફરી આજે

  વ્હાલ કરજે  ."
